Silver Alginate Dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed through a series of special processes. It is designed to be highly and fast absorbent. The dressing absorbs exudates and forms a gel-like covering over the wound, maintaining a moist environment for wound healing.

The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound, ensuring painless removal. Furthermore, Silver Alginate Dressing can restrain bacterial growth and reduce infection. It has been tested in vitro and found effective against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

• Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry the surrounding skin gently.
• Choose the right size of dressing to cover the wound according to the wound area.
• Cover and secure the Silver Alginate Dressing with a secondary dressing.
• Dressing change frequency depends on patient condition and exudate levels. Initially, it may be necessary to change every 24 hours. As exudates reduce, frequency may decrease.
• Gently remove the secondary dressing. If the wound appears dry, saturate the dressing with sterile saline water prior to removal.
