Silver ions dressing is an antimicrobial dressing made of synthetic polymer absorbent fibers with silver compound.

Principles
  • Silver ions dressing releases silver ion after contact with wound exudate.
  • Silver ions bind to zymoprotein in bacterial cells to inactivate it and kill the bacteria.
  • Silver ions bind to the DNA and RNA of bacterial cells, viruses, etc., preventing their replication.
  • Promotes wound healing by increasing ions concentration of zinc, calcium and copper.

  • Strong inhibitory properties against bacteria and microorganisms.
  • Continuous sterilization effect for 5-7 days.
  • Release of silver ion is proportional to wound exudate.

⚠️ Usage Cautions
  • Wash the wound with normal saline before use and dry the surrounding skin.
  • Do not immerse the silver ions dressing in normal saline beforehand.
  • Secondary dressings (foam or calcium alginate) should be used in combination.
  • Recommended to change the dressing every 2-4 days based on clinical use.
