Honey gauze dressing is a permeable non-adherent primary dressing containing active manuka honey. The dressing is impregnated with 100% manuka honey from New Zealand with no additives. The dressing can protect the wound, and its properties enable the honey to form a gel with the wound fluid, effectively form and maintain a moist environment for the wound, and provide a suitable environment for wound healing.
Manuka honey contains glucose oxidase imparted by the bees during its collection and storage. The enzyme facilitates low level release of hydrogen peroxide when in the presence of wound exudates and thus supports cellular proliferation and metabolism through an antioxidant effect. The high sugar and low pH content creates a high osmotic potential which gives honey excellent debridement and anti-inflammatory properties.

Instructions for Use:
1. Clean the wound with normal saline.
2. Apply the dressing gently to the wound surface.
3. Cover with an absorbent secondary dressing.
4. Change daily for heavy exudate, or every 3 days as healing proceeds.
