Self-adhesive vet bandage

These wraps are usually of a conforming nature, very easy to use and covered in a thin layer of latex which enables it to cling to itself, but not to the animals' skin or hair. Vet wrap bandages are air permeable, soft and easy to apply even to the most fidgety patient. If you let go at any stage, the bandage will remain in place and not unravel. This type of bandage is comfortable for the animal as it does not pull on hair, therefore the patient is less likely to interfere with the bandage. Due to their ease of use, cohesive bandages are more comfortable and convenient to remove when the time comes.

The majority of pet wrap are ideal for top bandages. They come in bright colours which can be used as a coding system if the patient needs re-bandaging, e.g. red for immediately post operative, blue for a first redress and white for a second redress. This is particularly useful in larger practices, where more than one Veterinary Surgeon will examine the patient.
