Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing Ultra Thin with Self-Adhesive
Hydrocolloid dressing is a special kind of wound dressing used in the treatment of mildly exuding wounds, like minor burns or bed sores. These dressings are waterproof, and unlike simpler dressings, they provide a moist and insulating environment to promote wound healing.
The inner layer consists of gel-forming agents (carboxymethylcellulose, gelatin, and pectin) that absorb exudate to provide a moist healing environment, allowing for faster healing and reduced scar formation. The outside layer is made of waterproof polyurethane film, shielding the wound from bacteria and debris. These dressings can be left in place for up to a week, allowing for easy washing and bathing.
🚀 How to use
- Cleanse the wound and dry the periwound skin.
- Choose a dressing large enough to cover the wound with 2cm overlap.
- Remove the back paper to expose the adhesive surface.
- Center the dressing over the wound, press from the center outward, and hold for 30 seconds.
